HEALTH AND SAFETY

Evertime we booked the camera we were required to complete a Risk Assesment form. This covers the college insurance policy but also in our case helped us identify any risks such as:
Health+safety and problems that arise when shooting film:
-The weather conditions could mean that the ground is slippery or even icy from snow. This would be a hazard if someone slipped. -The weather could also prevent us from filming if it is raining for example it would provide a poorer quality film and not the intentions myself and my group were looking for. -Another problem could be if people do not turn up when asked, this is a problem if the camera is booked and miss the opportunity to film. This would also make no working progress, making the music video not on schedule. -Forgetting to bring a important part of the camera such as a tripod/tape, will delay time -If my group planned to film in a location such as a train station and were asked to leave. -Being unorganised such as not making deffinate plans, meaning people will not turn up. -Other people in the background of a shot could be doing something which brings your attention to them in the film. -Transport not working -People in my group become unwell -We aim to use the photographic studio, this could be a problem if it is booked up or a techinical fault. -We may forget to take the tape out of the camera , meaning our tape is lost and hard to find. -Not taking care of the camera could mean it could be dropped/troden. -Not holding the camera correctly and dropping it on someone.
